Coolum Beach will host stop number two of the 2018/19 Ocean6 Series, proudly presented by Sunshine Coast Council and Visit Sunshine Coast. Taking place the 9th & 10th of November, the most highly anticipated racing will be featured in the Ocean6 Finals Package from 12:30pm Saturday.
Councillor Jason O’Pray, Portfolio Councillor for Tourism, Sport & Major Events, Sunshine Coast Council is looking forward to the action unfolding. “The Sunshine Coast is very excited to host Round Two of the Ocean 6 Series. Coolum is one of the most incredible beaches for Surf Life Saving events for both athletes racing and spectators alike with the exposed beach attracting lots of swell and the natural amphitheatre. We hope everyone has a great time here on the Sunshine Coast.”
Alexandra Headland will be hunting back to back overall point score victories after a number of incredible individual and team performances saw them claim the overall honours in Round One. Keep an eye out for Lani Pallister who claimed gold in both the Jolyn Swim Series and Ocean6 Run Swim Run; Jamo Porter who placed an impressive third in the First National Real Estate Board Series; and the Ocean6 Ski Series silver & bronze duo Tiarrn Raymond & Lucinda Kelly.
Racing kicks off 3pm, Friday 9th of November at Coolum Beach with the Nutri-Grain Ironman & IronWoman Heats and the Ocean6 Finals Package taking place from midday, Saturday November 10.
