Come join us for a surf this November 27-28th
at the Rip Curl Girls Go Surfing Day!
The Rip Curl Girls Go Surfing Day dates have been officially announced and will be run by Surfing Australia Surf Schools on the weekend of November 27-28 at over 60 beaches around Australia. Now in its 21st year of operation the program is a huge weekend on the surfing calendar, and provides an opportunity for females to take part in a professional surf lesson with accredited Surfing Australia instructors in the lead-up to summer.
“Surfing Australia is proud to be involved in such a long running and successful all-girl surfing event which is active, healthy, and fun and appeals to all ages” said Surfing Australia’s Sports Development Manager, Chris Symington.
With ambassadors such as three-time ASP Women’s World Champion Stephanie Gilmore taking part the Rip Curl Girls Go Surfing Day is a great initiative in promoting women’s surfing.
“Rip Curl’s Girls Go Surfing Day is a really positive program, it’s important for raising awareness of female surfing and getting girls in the water!” said Gilmore.
“It’s also a good chance for you to have a fun day at the beach with your mates and to hit the surf in a safe environment!” continued Gilmore.
Surfing is one of the healthiest, most fun and rewarding ways to keep fit, and is also an important part of the Australian culture. Lesson Price for the event is $50 which includes a learn-to-surf lesson delivered through the Surfing Australia Surf School network plus each participant will receive an official event showbag from Rip Curl.
